  • Introduction to Nosework
  • Did you know your dog is a genius? His or her natural sense of smell is a dog’s greatest gift, and Nosework is a fun way to take advantage of that. Nosework is a fabulous sport and activity that provides mental and physical stimulation for your dog. Using your dog’s inherent desire to sniff, he'll learn to track through boxes and the environment for food or toy rewards. Only one dog works the boxes and room at a time, so regardless of your dog's temperament around other dogs s/he can still enjoy and participate in the class. Well-behaved, nervous, unsure, reactive, buttheaded and goofball dogs are all welcome to participate (human-aggressive dogs are not appropriate for this class but can still learn to "play" via private lessons). Between turns, you will get to watch the other dogs work the boxes and hides, learning a lot about "reading" dogs and cheering on your classmates. Dogs end each class tired, happy, mentally stimulated and with fun and easy exercises to practice each week between classes.
